Become a Volunteer

Would you like to become a volunteer?

We need people for the following tasks/positions:

  • Trainer;
  • Group facilitator;
  • Attendant/accompanying person;
  • Kiosk clerk;
  • Office work;
  • Notetaker;
  • Interpreter;
  • Newsletter;
  • Mailing;
  • Cleaning;
  • Other tasks.

If you would like to become a volunteer, you will receive some basic training. You should have functional knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or la Langue des Signes Québécoise (LSQ) in order to communicate with Deaf and Hard of hearing people and be able to carry out other duties in the available volunteer positions.

Are you interested? Your presence and your help - even for just a few hours a week or a month - would be invaluable. Whatever time you can contribute would be very much appreciated.

Contact us or drop in and meet us to learn more about volunteering. Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to work with others and meet new people.
